Moving forward, our lens is clearly focused on relationships. The tremendous drive and dedication of our parents and teachers shows the common desire we all share to create the strongest school around. The key to school relationships is constantly remembering that we are all working on behalf of our greatest investment, the students. Starting with a basic understanding that our students, teachers, and parents are all working to secure the best future possible for Flagstaff will allow us to build strong relationships.
I am inspired by our volunteers. Before the dust has settled from one event, they are off and running with the next. Currently, our volunteers are working on the Parent Partners connection. By taking on this project, our parents are proactively forging relationships with incoming Dragon families. Forming inclusive relationships is critical to the the mission of Flagstaff. Please get involved! As we begin building relationships with our new families, we are working diligently to revitalize old relationships as well. Thank you for the tireless care you put into Flagstaff.
Trying to appropriately articulate the tremendous effort and accomplishments achieved and sustained by our teachers is not easy. Flagstaff's teachers are dedicated beyond comparison. There is not a time too early or an hour too late for our teachers - our school is never empty.Flagstaff teachers are comitted to our school because we have the best programming, community support, and students in the state. We plan on keeping our teacher-body together as we move to our new facility. We have offered every teacher an Intent to Renew form. Although we may have teachers move among different grade levels, and change is always a constant, we plan on retaining every one of our teachers.
Every child, every day. We take every opportunity to recognize individual and group effort in our students. Our students live our Core Virtues, and the Dragon in our cafeteria is quickly filling up with Dragon Scales! Before break, our students were given the yearly chance to demonstrate their skills through CSAP. Congratulations to our students for working with integrity and diligence! Spring is a rejuvenating time. With new Core Knowledge units to explore, math units to master, experiements to ponder, and stories to write, this Spring promises to build with budding excitement as each day brings us closer to our new home!
This time at Flagstaff means a lot to all of us. For teachers, it means packing boxes and picking classrooms. For students it means stepping into an unknown world of promise and wonder. And for many parents, these next months at Flagstaff signify a dream come true. Let's recognize the common dreams we share as we move forward.
